Garrison a goer for MM HIT Sale

The fourth and final session of breeze ups for the Magic Millions National HIT Sale were held at Rockhampton on Friday.  Despite being fronted by a Slow 6 track, there were 26 impressive prospects to trial on the course proper at Callaghan Park.

Top of the dial were a Garrison Savannah colt and a Minardi filly who both clocked 10.30s.  A Falvelon filly (10.5), a Hussonet colt (10.7) and a filly by Garrison Savannah (10.8) rounded out the top five for the session’s quickest times.

Garrison Savannah, who provided two of the five quickest performers on Friday, is a Danehill half brother to Cox Plate winner and exciting young sire Savabeel.  ‘The session was a great success,” Magic Millions consultant Barry Bowditch reported.

“There were plenty of concerns as to the weather and the track condition but under the circumstances it presented brilliantly.  Thank the Rockhampton Jockey Club and Racing Queensland for providing us with great support in preparation for the National HIT Sale.”

The Gold Coast hosts the 2010 Magic Millions National Horses in Training Sale on October 27 and 28.
