FuPeg colt leads penultimate session at Keeneland

A Fusaichi Pegasus colt attracted the highest price at Keeneland’s September yearling sale on Friday.  The Day 12 leader was purchased by Tim and Crystal O’Donohue for $52,000.

The FuPeg chestnut is out of Whalah (Dixieland Band), a winning sister to the dam of Argentinean G1 winner Lady Sprinter (Orientate).

On Friday, 197 yearlings changed hands for $1.86 million.  The $9,446 average was up 48% from the same session last year.  The marathon 13 day sale concludes on Saturday.
