War Chant can fill out a full-house of winners for Yarradale Stud stallions when the Del Mar summer season starts on Wednesday.

War Chant (Danzig) is in quarantine in readiness for his second southern season at Yarradale and Midnight Crooner can give him a winning send-off in the LR Oceanside Hcp (1600m). Del Mar is celebrating its 75th anniversary since Bing Crosby helped establish the San Diego course 1937.

Midnight Crooner (3c War Chant – Midnight Kiss by Groom Dancer) is trained by Bob Baffert for owner-breeder Arnold Zetcher. He was a dominant seven length maiden winner at Golden Gate Fields before finishing third in the LR Pasadena Stakes at Santa Anita.

Midnight Crooner is a younger brother to last year’s G1 Santa Anita Derby winner Midnight Interlude. He is also prepared by Baffert and has been working the house down in readiness for his own return to racing at Del Mar.

Yarradale stallions began a ground-breaking week last Thursday with 4 of the 8 winners at Pinjarra.

Flying Time (Heritage) and his older half-sister Five Fields (Citidancer) began a big day for the Gidgegannup nursery with impressive maiden wins. They are the first two foals out of winning Octagonal mare Belgrave Square.

Yarradale finished the meeting with a long-priced double courtesy of De Spare (De Troy) and Zebook (Zentsov Street).

The winners continued on Saturday with I’m Called Earl (Zentsov Street) and Starline Porsche (Medal Of Honor) and on Sunday it was the turn of Endorsed (Rock Of Gibraltar) and Epic Endeavour (De Troy) to salute at Kalgoorlie.

Endorsed (3f Rock Of Gibraltar – Bracken Bank by Sir Tristram) was bred by Yarradale owner Ron Sayers and is a three-quarter sister to G3 Carlyon Cup winner Niagara Falls (Danehill).

Sayers bought their dam Bracken Bank for $100,000 at the 2008 Inglis Easter Broodmare Sale carrying the Kal winner.
