Turangga Stud is offering broodmare owners a free service to its Octagonal sire Money Or The Gun this spring.
Money Or The Gun (4h Octagonal – Sister Canny by Bletchingly) is available at no charge for mares on a walk in – walk out basis in the Segenhoe Valley.
Trained by Peter Moody for Turangga Stud owner Stuart Ramsey, he was a Cranbourne winner second time out before going amiss at Seymour at his third start.
Like champion sire Lonhro, the Turangga newcomer is a son of Australian Horse of the Year sire Octagonal and his dam Sister Canny is a stakes winning sister to Golden Slipper winner and prominent sire Canny Lad.
Group 1 winner Canny Lass is another sister. She is the dam of stakes winners Astute Angel and Causeway Lass and the second dam of Rothesay (Fastnet Rock), a G2 winner about to cover his first mares at Glenlogan Park.
Canny Lass is also a three-quarter sister to Canny Miss (Marscay), the second-dam of superstar colt Sepoy (Elusive Quality).
Money Or The Gun stands with Champion 2YO Zizou (Fusaichi Pegasus) who has his first crop ready to compete in juvenile events this season. Among them is Turangga homebred filly Ramsey. She is a half-sister to a G1 winning Charge Forward filly Headway.
