Five black-type graduates from Arrowfield

Sweet Idea became the latest stakes performer from the 2012 Arrowfield Magic Millions Sale draft when runner-up in the G3 B J McLachlan Stakes in Brisbane on Saturday.

The Gai Waterhouse-trained Snitzel filly settled comfortably in front and then fought back gamely when collared by local filly Missy Longstocking.

Sweet Idea won on debut at Randwick and has earned more than $115,000 prizemoney to secure her place in the $2 million Magic Millions 2YO Classic on January 12.

Arrowfield sold 24 yearlings at the 2012 Gold Coast Magic Millions Sale and 5 of them are already stakes performers.  Overall, the 2012 Sale has produced 14 stakes performers but no other vendor has been the source of more than one stakes performer.
