First winner for Darley shuttler Street Boss

Darley shuttler Street Boss sired his first winner when Catboss shared a dead-heat decision at the Capannelle circuit in Rome on Tuesday.

Catboss (2f Street Boss – Glorious Cat by Tabasco Cat) shared the spoils on debut in the Premio Marguerite Vernaut (1000m) with Girl Of The Rain (Refuse To Bend).  She was ridden by Pasquale Lepore for owners RZ Dell’Olmo.

Catboss is trained by Riccardo Menichetti and she was a $7,500 buy for Italian agent Federico Barberini at the 2011 Keeneland September yearling sale.

Street Boss stands for a $15,000 fee at Darley’s Jonabell Farm in Kentucky alongside his sire Street Cry.  He was a G1 winner of the Bing Crosby Handicap and G1 Triple Bend Invitational.

Street Boss will be available at an $11,000 fee this year at Darley’s Northwood Park nursery in Victoria.
