First winner by Ready Royal

Cause Divorce registered the first win for More Than Ready stallion Ready Royal at Rockhampton on Friday.

The Shane Sigvart trained gelding scored a barrier-to-box victory in the Chevron Steam Laundry Maiden (1050m).  He is the fourth starter from Ready Royal’s first crop and was racing second-up after an extended spell since last December.

Cause Divorce (4g Ready Royal – Matineeidol by Clang) is the first named foal of his dam and he has a yearling half-brother by Oratorio (Ire).  Matineeidol is a half-sister to Great Crusader who was a fading sixth in the 2003 Golden Slipper behind Belle Du Jour after winning the Todman Slipper Trial.

The More Than Ready sireline in Australasia includes his successful sons Sebring and Perfectly Ready.  The next generation is headed by Pluck (Vinery Stud) and War (Blue Gum Farm).

Ready Royal won five sprints in the Capricornia region and is a half-brother to Roedean.  She was a headline filly in 2003 after being controversially disqualified weeks after winning the G1 Blue Diamond Stakes.

Kabalena Park stands Ready Royal south-west of Rockhampton for a service fee that was initially advertised at $3,300.
