First winner by Dailago

Dailago sired his first winner when Run For Ryan ran out an easy winner of the Mildura Rural City Council Maiden Plate (1200m) on Sunday.

Run For Ryan was having her fifth start for Swan Hill trainer Jane Duncan and a partnership that includes St Elmo Racing’s owner-breeder Stefan Seketa.  The Mildura winner is a half-sister to 2011 Tasmanian Sires’ Produce Stakes winner Pittenweem (Dash For Cash.

Their dam Compactus (Spartacus) has an unraced 2yo filly by Dailago named Fight Song.

Dailago sired 11 foals for Seketa in four books until 2013.

He was a son of Encosta de Lago from Daijobo (Bite The Bullet) who won a LR The Nivison at Randwick.  Agent John Foote bought him for $160,000 at the 2005 Inglis Easter yearling sale but he retired to stud unraced.
