First Singapore winner for Danerich

Stephen Baster has hit the ground running in Singapore and he’s looking forward to partnering Californian Girl through the classes.

Californian Girl (3f Danerich – Tribal Dancer by Brave Warrior) was a brilliant all-the-way winner of the Class 4 Stakes (1100m) at Kranji on Friday night.  “She’s a funny little thing and was still a bit green during the race,” Baster explained.  “But she has a good turn of foot and will continue to get better.”

The Australian bred filly is an overdue winner for her dam Tribal Dancer whose first four foals were either unraced or unplaced.  She foaled a colt by Darley sire Time Thief last year.

Californian Girl is the first Singapore winner for Rangal Park sire Danerich.  There have been 17 winners from his first crop and Adelaide stakes performer Flying Skipper is one of only three youngsters seen out so far from his second.

Danerich (Danehill) was a stakes winning sprinter at Caulfield and Moonee Valley.  Rangal Park owner Eric Buttler stands him at the Euroa nursery alongside Keltrice and Ne Coupez Pas.

Danerich has five yearlings catalogued for the 2012 Inglis Autumn Sale on April 29 & 30.  Rangal Park’s fillies from White Mouse (Lot 226) and Gloryhuss (Lot 385) are both related to Perth stakes winners Achtung Baby, Born With Wings and Transparency.
