Jon Freyer drew first blood for Federation of Bloodstock Agents Australia (FBAA) at the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale this week.

Royal Tithe (Show A Heart) paraded first thing on Tuesday morning and Freyer outbid the early-birds with $360,000 for the maiden mare who won last year’s G3 Ken Russell Memorial Classic.

Freyer Bloodstock (FBAA) bought 14 lots for $2.23 million topped by Daisy’s Joy (Street Cry) for $520,000.  A Hawkesbury maiden winner for owner-breeder John Singleton, she’s from the family of Group 1 champions Tuesday Joy and More Joyous.

Cavaloce (Testa Rossa) looked money well-spent at $180,000.  The Bell View Park mare bows out after a successful season capped by Listed victories in the Durbridge Stakes and City Of Marion Stakes at Morphettville.

She was a $56,000 buy as a foal for Ducatoon Park owner Peter Toole at the 2011 Inglis Great Southern Sale.  He sold her to Bell View Park as a broodmare prospect last year and they decided to keep her racing with pleasing results in Adelaide.

Freyer (pictured) wore his Arrowfield hat when relaying news that mares in foal to Snitzel were averaging $620,000 on the Gold Coast.  His stats in that category sky-rocketed with millionaires The Party Stand and Comprende.

Snitzel is close to claiming his first Australian sires’ title after starting his stud career for a $33,000 service fee.  Arrowfield has bumped him up to $176,000 this year.

Daughters of Snitzel were also targeted by FBAA member Craig Rounesfell (Boomer Bloodstock).  He bought Snitzel mares Miss Milanese ($300,000) and Flamenco Girl ($240,000) from Yarraman Park.

Miss Milanese is a Canterbury winning sister to Snitzel’s Flemington G3 Ottawa Stakes winner Oakleigh Girl.  Flamenco Girl won on debut at Sunshine Coast and then went down in a tongue-twisting finish to Flamenco in the LR Calaway Gal Stakes at Doomben.
