Fastnet colts in fashion for Lomar Park

Lomar Park’s Magic Millions consignment will be available for inspection at the Gold Coast sale grounds as from this Sunday.

All 9 yearlings are by Coolmore Stud stallions from the cream of Lomar Park’s broodmare band developed by owner Fred Peisah at his Werombi nursery.

The Fastnet Rock colt from My Lady’s Chamber (Arena) is the first to parade as Lot 101 on Wednesday.  The dam is a Lomar Park homebred and she won the LR National Sprint in Canberra and was also runner-up at G1 level to Cheeky Choice in the 2006 Flight Stakes.

My Lady’s Chamber is a three-quarter sister to Lomar Park’s G1 Coolmore Classic winner Regal Cheer.

Fastnet Rock’s yearlings will take centre-stage at the Gold Coast after another sensational year of results in 2012.  The Danehill champion claimed the 2011-12 Australian premiership with just four crops racing and he has already sired 11 stakes winners this season headed by Group 1 winners Nechita (VRC Coolmore Stud Stakes) and Sea Siren (MVRC Manikato Stakes).

Lomar Park’s second Fastnet Rock is out of Smart Company (Mister C) and he will go under the hammer as Lot 251 on Thursday.  The colt is bred to go early being a half-brother to Lindsay Park filly Divine Choice (Rock of Gibraltar) who was runner-up in the 2009 VRC Maribyrnong Trial Stakes.

Both Fastnet Rock colts descend from Fred Peisah’s foundation mare Social Smile who has been at the cornerstone of Lomar Park’s success over the last 40 years.
