Temple Of Boom completed a satisfying week for Eureka Stud’s McAlpine family when he secured a Group 1 first in The Galaxy (1100m) at Randwick.

Temple of Boom is part-owned by Eureka’s Colin and Scott McAlpine and he broke through the million-dollar milestone on Saturday.  The McAlpines kept a share after selling him for $40,000 at the 2008 Gold Coast Magic Millions.

Temple Spirit’s final foal is an unraced two year-old filly by Red Dazzler named Just The Spirit.

Eureka Stud was in the news earlier in the week when it was announced Sidereus (General Nediym) had been signed to stand in Queensland  He was purchased by a syndicate that includes Eureka, Oaklands Stud and the Heinrich family’s Darlington Stud.

Eureka stands the Red Ransom stallions Red Dazzler and Markane at its Cambooya property.  Sidereus will be based just north of Eureka at Oaklands Stud in Toowoomba.
