A half-sister to champion colt Sepoy was foaled at Emirates Park on Sunday evening. The filly is by Darley’s Victorian-based stallion Domesday from the Danehill mare Watchful.
“She is a big, strong filly with plenty of scope and is very correct,” Emirates Park’s Bryan Carlson said. “Watchful will be covered by Lonhro this year.”
Watchful’s latest foal arrived just a day after Sepoy won the G2 VRC Danehill Stakes at Flemington. The Elusive Quality colt took his earnings past the $3 million mark on Saturday.
Watchful is a sister to G1 QTC Queensland Derby winner Camarena. Second dam Canny Miss is a half-sister to the exceptional racetrack and stud performers Canny Lad and Canny Lass.
