El Cambio for sale in Dubai

Australian bred gelding El Cambio has been entered for the Emirates HIT Sale at Meydan on March 6.

El Cambio (8g Commands – Chaparra by Canny Lad) has been catalogued as Lot 6 for the ERA Horses in Training Sale which has attracted 131 lots.

The Peter Snowden trained gelding peaked in 2008 winning the G2 AJC Royal Sovereign Stakes, G3 Gold Coast Guineas, G3 Doomben Classic and G2 VRC Gilgai Stakes.

El Cambio was part of the first shipment of Darley horses that were exported to join Sheikh Mohammed’s international racing operation in August 2009.  He was placed first-up in the G3 Al Shindagha Sprint at Meydan in February 2010 and, after an unplaced effort the following month, was shipped to Great Britain to be trained by Mahmood Al Zarooni.

El Cambio finished well back in the LR Leisure Stakes at Windsor in his sole English start in May 2010.

The only other Australian bred galloper in the sale is Temple Code (Lot 85).  An unraced 4yo gelding by Rock Of Gibraltar, he was exported to South Africa by Lionel Cohen in August 2012.
