Dubleo doubles up at Inglis Classic yearling sale

Vinery stallion Dubleo continued his summer hot streak on Wednesday when Monnie’s Double completed a hat-trick in the ATC at Wyong Hcp 1100m).  Trained by David Pfeiffer at Warwick Farm, Monnies Double is one of 8 individual winners already this month for rising star Dubleo.

Monnie’s Double (4m Dubleo – Monrich by Monongahela) had won her maiden at Wyong in July for owner-breeder John Starr.  She returned from a six month spell to score a first-up victory back at Wyong on January 5.

Dubleo’s current winning run will no doubt play out favourably for two particular Vinery entries at the 2012 Inglis Classic Yearling sale – the sole Dubleo colt for sale and the half sister to his top filly Dubleanny are sure to attract attention at Newmarket.

“Apart for the dynamic of supply and demand, both horses will be well sought after on type alone,” Vinery’s Adam White said.  “They are both well bred and extremely well put together yearlings.”

Lot 249 is a BOBS eligible chestnut colt by Dubleo out of the unraced Springsteen mare Attunga Rose.  The dam is a half-sister to explosive Australian-bred galloper Fighting Warrior (Magic Albert) who won the G1 Golden Horseshoe in South Africa last year.

Lot 185 is the Exceedingly Good half sister to Dubleanny who heads Dubleo’s progeny prizemoney with $543,000 after Listed victories in the VRC Straight Six and Creswick Stakes at Flemington plus the Proud Miss Stakes at Morphettville.  She is now in foal to Vinery sire Testa Rossa

Exceedingly Good and the colt’s damsire Canny Lad, both won the G3 Maribyrnong Plate at Flemington.
