Death of TAFE Patriarch

Be My Guest sire My Patriarch died last month aged 21.  He was resident stallion at Goulburn Valley TAFE.

A Group 3 winner of Sandown’s Henry II Stakes, My Patriarch (Be My Guest) was an older half-brother to popular people’s horse Silver Patriarch (Saddlers’ Hall).  Another half-brother Papineau (Singspiel) won the G1 Royal Ascot Gold Cup before Yeats monopolised.

My Patriarch averaged books of 40 to 50 in his early years but the only stakes winner was Benmanang in a Canberra Cup.  He will be missed by all the TAFE graduates who learned the ropes working with him at Goulburn Valley.
