Day 3 Adelaide Magic Millions – Lauriston leader by Domesday

Lauriston Thoroughbreds topped the Inglis Melbourne Premier Sale last week and its Domesday colt topped Day 3 of the Adelaide Magic Millions on Wednesday.

The Domesday – Cosmic Express colt made $51,000 to the bid of Victorian based Blue Moon Racing.  His dam won a Cranbourne maiden for Lauriston’s Kevin and Tanith O’Brien before retiring to stud.

Cosmic Express (Success Express) foaled colts by Kheleyf and Domesday in her first two seasons and then delivered a Reset filly in 2012.  After three visits to Darley Victoria, she was re-routed to Turffontein at Blue Gum Farm last year.

Lauriston headed the Inglis Premier at Oaklands Junction last week with 6 lots averaging $194,167.  Daylight was second followed by Fairhill Farm on $129,750

A Wilander colt was next best on the Adelaide leader-board after Morphettville trainer Gordon Richards paid $50,000 for the half brother to in-form three-year-old Spoilspot.

Day 3 trade at the Magic Millions reached $1.42 million on 132 yearlings at an average price of $10,773.  The clearance rate rose 8 points to 82%.
