Day 2 Adelaide Magic Millions – Overall average dips 8%

Baramul Stud topped the Adelaide Magic Millions leader-board for the second day running with a $145,000 Snitzel filly on Tuesday.

Cranbourne trainer Robbie Laing outbid Perth’s Neville Parnham to secure the filly who is a half sister to Cranbourne Cup winner Sermon (Octagonal).  Their dam Eureka Jewel won the G2 VRC Kewney Stakes and G3 AJC Adrian Knox Stakes.

Baramul had topped the first session with a Testa Rossa colt that cost leading local trainer David Jolly $100,000.

Vinery sire Testa Rossa was popular again on Tuesday with a colt from Pushing Daisies that was second on the Day 2 leader-board at $130,000.  Offered by Mill Park, the colt is a half-brother to G1 Epsom Hcp winner Captain Sonador and was purchased by Mark Kavanagh.

The clearance rate for Session One – comprising Monday and Tuesday trade – improved 6 points to 80%.  The average was down 8% to $32,053 and the median dipped 13% to $26,000.
