Darley sire Medaglia d’Oro will cover NZ Broodmare of the Year Triassic this spring.  The Tights mare is the dam of international champion So You Think.

So You Think (High Chaparral) is slated to have his next start in the G1 Irish Champion Stakes this weekend.  Inglis has just announced his yearling brother will be catalogued for its 2012 Easter Yearling Sale.

The pairing of El Prado’s son Medaglia d’Oro and Triassic will produce a foal bred on a very similar cross to So You Think.

Medaglia d’Oro has sired seven G1 winners including USA Horse of the Year Rachel Alexandra and this year’s Kentucky Oaks winner Plum Pretty.

Medaglia d’Oro covered his first southern mares last season including the likes of Group 1 winners Merlene, Rinky Dink, Star Shiraz, Shindig and Shamekha.

His 2011 book is headed by G1 winners Jessicabeel, Miss Margaret, Miss Victory, Oxigenada, Regal Cheer, Sleek Chassis as well as the dams of G1 winners Roman Emperor, Star Witness, Skilled and No Wine No Song.

Medaglia d’Oro shuttles to Darley Kelvinside at a fee of $77,000 (inc gst).
