Coroebus joins Jubilee Stud

Classically-bred stallion Coroebus has been retired to stand at Jubilee Stud in Victoria.

A rising 4yo by Choisir from champion broodmare Circles Of Gold (Marscay), he will join Rock Face (Encosta de Lago), Apologia (Danehill) and Red Arrow (Red Ransom) at the Geelong nursery operated by Michele Denham.

Coroebus was trained by Danny O’Brien and raced just twice last year for a debut fifth at Flemington and a placing at Geelong for a syndicate headed by his breeders Frank Tagg, Garry Moffitt and Frank Meduri.

“We will never know what could have been and that’s a huge disappointment for his owners,” Denham said. “They have stayed in him with lifetime breeding rights and we are very lucky to be standing a stallion with his looks, temperament and pedigree.”

Coroebus is a half-brother to Elvstroem, Haradasun and Gold Centre who all sired stakes winners. He’s also a half-brother to Hveger who foaled last week’s Royal Ascot feature winners Highland Reel (G1 Prince of Wales’s Stakes) and Idaho (G2 Hardwicke Stakes).

Jubilee Stud will stand Coroebus for a service fee of $2,700 and, for more information, breeders can contact Michele Denham on 0407 681 462.
