Coolmore reroutes Lookin At Lucky to Chile

Lookin At Lucky will not be on the passenger list when Coolmore Stud’s Kentucky sires shuttle to Australia this year.

Coolmore Stud had advertised Lookin At Lucky at a $22,000 service fee for his second southern season in 2012, however, USA Bloodhorse reports he will be rerouted to Haras Paso Nevado in Chile.

The Haras Paso Nevado roster includes Seeker’s Reward (Gone West), Powerscourt (Sadler’s Wells), Funny II (Nureyev) and Scat Daddy (Johannesburg).

Lookin At Lucky (Smart Strike – Private Feeling by Belong to Me) covered over 100 mares at a $33,000 fee in the Hunter Valley last year. He arrived here after winning North America’s 2YO and 3YO Eclipse Awards.

Coolmore Stud’s shuttlers from Kentucky this year includes first-timer Uncle Mo (Indian Charlie) who was a G1 winner of the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile by more than four lengths.
