Contract Racing sells Utah Saints

Stakes winning gelding Utah Saints topped Friday’s Inglis Melbourne December when making $87,000.  A total of 184 lots changed for $1.27 million at a clearance rate of 95%.

Utah Saints (5g God’s Own – Hard Rider by Maroof) was trained by Mat Ellerton and Simon Zahra at Flemington to win 5 races and run 12 placings in 28 starts for over $330,000 in prizemoney.  The Contract Racing colour-bearer was last seen finishing a close-up fifth behind Launay on the last day of the Melbourne Cup carnival at Flemington.

Darley’s draft at Oaklands Junction included Lyric ($56,000), Boston Tea ($42,000), Spinmeister ($35,000) and Spatha ($27,000).

Edwards Elkington Racing snapped up two quality prospects in Hot Spin ($48,000) and They Call Me Bolt ($30,000).  All breeding and racing stock that passed in at the sale, including stakes winning entire Liveandletdie, are available for sale via the Inglis Make An Offer service.
