Chinetti updates Oratorio filly at Magic Millions

Mungrup Stud champion Oratorio (Aus) received another city update for the 2014 Perth Magic Millions when Chinetti won the Westspeed Hcp (1000m) at Ascot on Saturday.

Oratorio has a half-sister to Chinetti for sale as Lot 34 on Tuesday, February 18.  She is being offered by Mogumber Park.

Chinetti (3g Bletchley Park – Clarecastle by Tribu) is unbeaten in three starts for trainer Paul Jordan and Harvey Crossman’s Lima Syndicate.  “I kept him fresh and knew he could cross and lead today,” Jordan said.  “He’s still a bit immature – we will give him a break and come back for the Magic Millions 3YO Trophy.”

Jordan also prepared his dam Clarecastle to four wins and several black-type placings in Perth.

Clarecastle’s current two year-old Castle Retreat (Oratorio) looked another early winner for the family when runner-up on debut at Belmont in October.  Jordan and Crossman will set him for the Magic Millions 2YO Classic which is scheduled for the same day as the 3YO Trophy on February 15.

There are 29 Oratorio yearlings catalogued for the Perth Magic Millions.  He kick-starts the sale with Lot 1 – a beautifully bred filly from Zabore Loch (Marooned).  She is a sister to Oratorio’s G2 Karrakatta Plate winner Motion Pictures.

Oratorio was a precocious sprinter winning the Adelaide Magic Millions 2YO Classic and then trained on to a Group 3 victory in the C S Hayes Stakes at Moonee Valley.

Oratorio dominated locally based stallions at the 2013 Perth Magic Millions.  Three of his yearlings made six figures and, all up, 14 lots averaged $58,607.
