Byblos heads burgeoning Hussonet sireline

The Hussonet sireline is growing in stature now that his sire sons are based around Australia.  The majority were bred in South America apart from his local colts Husson Lightning (Heytesbury) and Reaan (Lindsay Pk).

Byblos (Chi) is Hussonet’s only proven winner-getter standing in Australia.  He has sired 7 winners from just 10 starters in Chile and they include a very promising galloper named Cazabobos who has won five races at a 50% strike-rate.

Byblos stands at Eagle Park in NSW for an $11,000 fee.  He covered over 100 mares in his initial Australian book last year and his first Australian foals are arriving at the Orange nursery.

His colt from Gala Ball (Mister C) is a stand-out.  The dam has already foaled Sonic Barrier (Hussonet) who is a recent winner for trainer Charles Laird in South Africa.  .Sonic Barrier, was bred by Eagle Park and was a $220,000 buy at the 2007 Gold Coast Magic Millions.

Byblos competed in Group company for the majority of his 20 start career .  He won at Group 1 and Group 3 level from 1200m (as a 2yo) to 1900m.  He stands with Barbajuan (Danehill Dancer) and bookings to both sires can be made through marketing and nominations manager Michael Glenn on (02) 6365 4491 or 0409 068 765.
