Cash Luck completed a memorable weekend for Queensland based sire Bradbury’s Luck with a career best victory in the G1 Kranji Mile in Singapore on Sunday evening.
Cash Luck (5g Bradbury’s Luck – Blue Celeste by Geiger Counter) settled on the speed and shot to the front in the straight to win handsomely. “Last year, he just lacked physical and mental maturity,” jockey Danny Beasley claimed. “Now he’s a well-developed horse and has gained the strength and toughness to match his ability.
“He felt very relaxed and powerful the whole race and I was very confident a long way from home. He has a great future and, in time, will develop into one of our best middle distance horses.”
Cash Luck was a $12,000 purchase from Royston Stud at the 2010 Magic Millions QTIS Sale on the Gold Coast.
Fire Up Fifi began the winning weekend for Bradbury’s Luck with a G2 victory in the Blazer Stakes at Flemington. The Rob Heathcote trained mare will now be set for the G1 Myer Classic at headquarters.
Bradbury’s Luck is also the sire of Perth Group 1 winner Luckygray. The Glenlogan Park resident is only the second son of Redoute’s Choice to have produced more than one Group 1 winner at stud. He shares that honour with Stratum.
