Basil Nolan heads Queensland Breeders

TBQA President Bob Frappell has resigned.  The Clear Mountain Fairview studmaster has held the position since 2001.

Raheen Stud owner Basil Nolan is the new TBQA President.  Nolan was previously President for seven years.  He is also on the committee of the Thoroughbred Breeders Association.

“I will work hard in this position and am confident the Association has a bright future ahead,” Nolan said.  “Bob has certainly worked tirelessly in the interests of breeders over the past few years.  TBQA is the strongest Breeders’ Association in the country and has the largest membership base.

Craiglea Stud owner Stan Johnson has been elected into the role as Vice President.  Johnson has been on the TBQA committee for 10 years.  The current committee comprises Allan Gee, Erica Bates, Jeff Kruger, David Lucas, Gary Turkington and Chris Musgrave.

The TBQA AGM will be held on Thursday, September 2 in Toowoomba.
