There’s an excellent reason to buy a Snitzel yearling from the Arrowfield draft at the Inglis Easter Sale this coming week – Arrowfield is the source of all five of Snitzel’s Group winners since March 1.
Hot Snitzel (4g Snitzel – Flames Of Paris by Blushing Groom) made it five when he ran away with the G3 Sebring Stakes (1200m) at Rosehill on Saturday. It improved his record to 6 wins in 19 starts for earnings of $740,250.
The Gerald Ryan trained sprinter was purchased by Triple Crown Syndications from the draft of Arrowfield’s sister farm Bellerive Stud for $60,000 at the 2010 Inglis Melbourne Premier Sale. His dam is a half-sister to G1 Irish Moyglare Stakes winner Park Appeal (Ahonoora) and is related to champion sires Cape Cross (Green Desert) and Iffraaj (Zafonic).
Arrowfield’s Snitzel graduates have been on the roll recently with Sweet Idea (G2 Silver Slipper Stakes), Aliyana Tilde (G3 Epona Stakes), Snitzerland (G2 Challenge Stakes) and Flying Snitzel (G2 VRC Kewney Stakes).
All five horses were bred by Arrowfield, with Hot Snitzel, Flying Snitzel and Sweet Idea the results of Arrowfield’s partnership with Jungle Pocket P/L.
There are three colts and a filly by Snitzel in Arrowfield’s 2013 Easter Sale draft.
