Aquis Farm’s burgeoning rosters in the Hunter Valley and Queensland have been boosted by the additions of Divine Prophet and Attention for the 2017 serving season.
Divine Prophet (Choisir – Prophet Jewel by Encosta De Lago) performed at the highest level in both Sydney and Melbourne during his race career under the care of Team Hawkes. Placed in the Group 1 Champagne Stakes, he resumed as a spring 3yo to win the Group 3 Up and Coming Stakes prior to a dominant victory in the stallion-making Group 1 Caulfield Guineas.
“Aquis Farm is Australia’s fastest growing and most dynamic thoroughbred breeding enterprise,” owner-breeder Tony Falcone said. “Aquis have been able to already acquire, and will continue to acquire, many high class broodmares and any young stallion who is given that opportunity receives a significant boost for their future success.”
Divine Prophet is the ideal addition to the Aquis Farm stallion roster at Emirates Park in the Hunter Valley and should prove extremely popular to breeders at a $22,000 (inc gst) fee.
Aquis Farm has also purchased an interest and stallion rights to G2 Brisbane Sires’ Produce Stakes winner Attention.
The son of Stratum is trained by Peter and Paul Snowden and will continue to race in a partnership with James Harron’s Colt Group until he retires to take up stallion duties at Aquis Farm’s base in Queensland.
Harron said that he is looking forward to the new partnership with Aquis Farm, and that Attention boasted all the right attributes to make a successful stallion.
“Attention is a magnificent type, with the pedigree to match, and while there’s plenty ahead with him on the racetrack, we are delighted that the next chapter for him is secured with one of the most progressive farms in Australia where he will be given every chance to succeed at stud.”
A $620,000 purchase from the Highgrove Stud draft at the 2015 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale, Attention is from a half-sister to Group 3 winning and stakes-producing Pasikatera (Thunder Gulch) and is a brother to the Group 2 performer Flamboyant Lass.
