The first foals by Champion Australian 3YO All Too Hard will go under the hammer at the Inglis Weanling Sale this Sunday.
Based at Vinery, he has covered two books dominated by Group 1 mares and pin-hookers will be out in force targeting his initial crop at Newmarket.
The All Too Hard parade begins with a filly out of Skyerush (Lot 24) from Yarraman Park. It’s the first foal out of the mare who was a dual winner of the G2 Emancipation Stakes.
Vinery offers an All Too Hard colt from Attunga Rose (Lot 50). His dam is an unraced half-sister to Mossman’s G2 South African winner Royal Zulu Warrior.
Holbrook Thoroughbreds has a colt from Midnight Special (Lot 124) with recent black-type updates in Perth. His older half-sister Neverland (Big Brown) won the LR Challenge Stakes for owner-breeder Bob Peters in February and she followed up with placings in the LR Ascot 1000 Guineas and LR Natasha Stakes.
The All Too Hard – With My filly foal (Lot 143) has also been credited with several winning updates courtesy of her older half-sister Baylie Louise. Trainer Matthew Dale has nominated the Onemorenomore filly for the G1 Queensland Oaks on May 30.
All Too Hard has covered 25 Group 1 winning mares among 75 stakes winners in his first two seasons. The Group 1 mares include Makybe Diva, Polar Success, Fashions Afield, Sacred Choice, Samaready, Snitzerland, Arapaho Miss, Allez Wonder, Bel Mer, Bollinger, Devil Moon, Dorabella, Headway, Lovely Jubley, Mid Summer Music, Regimental Gal, Scarlett Lady and Serious Speed.
He has also served the dams of Group 1 winners Makybe Diva, Mossfun, Chautauqua, Zoustar, Savabeel, Happy Trails, Hucklebuck and Yosei.
“All Too Hard is the most exciting stallion prospect I’ve seen for many years,” Vinery general manager Peter Orton declared. “He’s a super racehorse, his pedigree is perfectly suited to our conditions and he’s also a spectacular individual physically.”
Team Hawkes rated All Too Hard right up there with the best horses they’ve ever trained. “He’s a serious horse – always has been,” Wayne Hawkes said. “He’s in the same class as Lonhro.
“He’s got a big heart and he’s got the pedigree being a half-brother to Black Caviar. And he won stallion-making races like the Caulfield Guineas.”
