$14 million price tag on Vinery Kentucky

Vinery Farm in Kentucky has been listed for sale by owner Tom Simon.

The 440-acre farm is one of four USA properties under the Vinery banner and the price tag is in the vicinity of US$14 million.

Vinery was founded by Ben Walden Jr. in 1986 and he sold it to George Hofmeister in 1998.  Simon, a former corporate law attorney, bought it twelve months later.

The Vinery operation consists of properties in Kentucky, Florida, New York, and Australia.  The Florida facility was purchased by Stonestreet Stables in December and the Australian property is owned by a partnership and is not on the market.

Vinery’s Kentucky headquarters was home to Champion Australian shuttler More Than Ready and he has been moved, with the rest of the roster, to WinStar Farm in Kentucky.
