10 Day Magic Millions National Sale starts Wednesday

The Gold Coast Magic Millions National Sale commences on Wednesday with the first of three foal sessions that will run through to Friday.

Well over 600 foals are catalogued including some top prospects in the sale’s supplementary catalogue.  Previous National weanling sale graduates include G1 winners Shellscrape, Chartreux, Anabandana and Swiss Ace and recent stakes winners Rebel Call, Single Spice, Pimpala Secret, Dubleanny and Gimmethegreenlight.

The action will then turn to the National broodmare sale from Sunday, May 29 to Tuesday, May 31.

Well over 100 stakes performed fillies and mares will go under the hammer including the likes of Sister Madly, Military Rose, Arapaho Miss, Hidden Wonder, Fairy Oak, Deer Valley, Ruby Clipper, Mythical Play and the dam and half sister to Singapore sensation Gingerbread Man.

A large percentage of the mares on offer are in foal to Australia’s and the world’s leading sires and are sure to present great value to prospective buyers.

The National Yearling Sale is next up with three days of action packed selling from Sunday, June 5 to Tuesday, June 7.

The 2007 edition of the sale produced the champion international sprinter Rocket Man (Viscount) who was purchased by Andy Williams for $60,000.

Other National Yearling graduates include Princess Coup, Heavenly Glow, Tell a Tale, Border Rebel, Polar Success, Mitanni, Cute Emily and Speedy Natalie.

The National Racehorse Sale will wrap up the National Sale on June 8 with a quality line up of ready made and proven racetrack winners – a number of stakes performers and city winners among them.

The sale has been well supported with strong drafts from the Williams family’s Hudson Conway Racing, Patinack Farm, Darley and the Heinrich Racing Stables.  The catalogue has been boosted by five late entries including staying talent Joe Blow.
