Walking or Dancing transfers to Bowness Stud

Walking or Dancing (NZ) will relocate to Bowness Stud in 2014.  He retired to Wattle Brae Stud in Queensland in 2011 and will now be based at Young in NSW.

A Group 3 winning son of Falvelon, he won 8 races with feature triumphs in the Magic Millions Cup (1400m) and G3 NJC Newmarket Handicap (1400m).  Owner Bert Vieira remains the stallion’s major stakeholder.

Vieira has consolidated his bloodstock portfolio in NSW to further enhance a strong alliance with Bowness Stud’s John North.  They also co-own the southern hemisphere standing rights to Frankel’s three-quarter brother Bullet Train (GB), who commenced his Australian stud career at Bowness Stud last breeding season.

Both Vieira and North consider the switch of Walking Or Dancing to Bowness Stud as an obvious progression, giving accessibility of the young stallion to a fresh group of breeders for his fourth season in service.

The 2014 Bowness Stud stallion line-up will now consist of Bullet Train (GB), Walking or Dancing and Bon Hoffa, sire of this season’s Adelaide Magic Millions 2YO Classic winner Deiheros.
