Trusting breakthrough at Gold Coast

Turangga Farm sire Trusting was credited with his first Australian winner at the Gold Coast on Saturday.

His first-crop filly Trust Misty scored a two-length victory in the Men Of Business Plate (1800m) for local trainer Paul Facoory and owner-breeder Bill Kajewski.  She had failed to make a $6,000 reserve when offered as a weanling at the 2014 Magic Millions National Sale.

Trust Misty (3f Trusting – Not Another Misty by Al Hareb) is the final foal of a half-sister to River Mist (G2 WA Guineas) and Plain Magic (LR Nudgee Hcp).

Turangga owner Stuart Ramsey stands Trusting for an $11,000 (inc gst) fee at Scone.  He was a Group 2 winner of the Warwick Stakes (1400m), Chelmsford Stakes (1600m) and Hill Stakes (2000m).

Trusting (Tale of the Cat) had 57 foals from his first crop conceived at Patinack Farm.

Tous Sweet (3c Trusting – Anathema by Octagonal) had opened his sire’s account in Macau on August 21.  The James Moore trainee followed up with a placing over 1100m on Saturday.
