Trackwork Breakfasts at Ascot

Fresh from a very successful Super Saturday, the WA racing and breeding industries will reach out to current and prospective owners at Trackwork Breakfasts starting this Saturday morning at Ascot.

The monthly get-togethers leading up to the 2016 Perth Magic Millions yearling sale will give people an opportunity to meet trainers and other racehorse owners in a relaxed setting from 7am to 9am.

It’s an opportunity to see racing behind the scenes and to feel a closer connection to the horses.  Trainers and other industry leaders will be there to answer questions and so will West Coast Eagles champion Dean Cox who is the ambassador for Owners Only.

Last Saturday’s WA Guineas winner Man Booker is owned by a large syndicate of ladies (pictured) including Duncraig school-teacher Danielle Pratt.  She bought a share after watching him at trackwork and, like her co-owners, celebrated in style at Ascot.

Man Booker cost $25,000 at the 2014 Perth Magic Millions and has now earned prizemoney of $482,000 after 4 wins in just 7 starts.  And he’s still only a three year-old with hopefully many more wins to come.

Entry to the Trackwork Breakfasts is free and all are welcome.  The Saturday dates are November 28, December 12, January 16 and February 6.
