Sourcing Secrets at Magic Millions

Rangeview Stud’s So Secret – Conamore filly received another winning update for the Perth Magic Millions at Pinjarra on Thursday.

Her older sister No More Secrets broke clear at the top of the straight and kept finding in the final furlong of the Sound Telegraph Maiden (1400m).  She scored by a length for veteran jockey Dan Miller and his wife Wendy who trains the mare at Lark Hill.

No More Secrets is the 7th winner from Conamore (Acecay) who died in April 2014.  Her final foal –another So Secret filly – has been catalogued as Lot 384 for the Perth Magic Millions next month.

The best of Conamore’s progeny have been LR Matchmaker Classic winner Danecay and G1 WATC Derby placegetter Original Lovalover.  They were both by former Rangeview sire Love A Dane.

Her two year-old is an unraced filly named Swiss Jewel with Vern Brockman.  She cost $15,000 at last year’s Magic Millions.

Rangeview resident So Secret has a full sister to his G2 Karrakatta Plate winner Hobart Jones (Lot 139) among a trio of fillies entered for the Perth Magic Millions.

So Secret (Danetime) is Western Australia’s leading third-season sire this term with prizemoney of $220,000.  His chief earner Flying Roar can complete a hat-trick for trainer Jim Taylor in the Westspeed Hcp at Ascot this Saturday.
