Safeguard spearhead in WA

Incoming Mogumber Park sire Safeguard was well received when he took centre stage at Bullsbrook last week.

An exciting addition to Sunspeed ranks, Safeguard impressed a combination of stud owners, stallion managers, bloodstock agents and breeders including trainers Trevor Andrews & Paul Jordan and agents Damon Gabbedy & Damien Wyer.

Safeguard was raced by Godolphin to win the G3 Kindergarten Stakes (1100m) at Randwick and he returned as a spring three year-old to keep his unbeaten record intact in the G3 Vain Stakes (1100m) at Caulfield.

He will spearhead the Exceed And Excel sireline in WA.  Exceed And Excel sired his 100th stakes winner last week and he has the Australian 2YO title won again with earnings of $3.39 million.

Mogumber Park’s Colin Brown and Oakland Park owner Neville Duncan have combined to stand Safeguard in WA and there are limited lifetime breeding rights remaining.  Broodmare owners can contact Colin Brown for more information on 0408 251 880.
