One more winner for Onemorenomore

Trevor Hardy has owned and trained lots of winners by Vinery sires and he notched another when Nomoretenmore scored at Coffs Harbour on Friday.

The Onemorenomore gelding arrived from the back half of the field to claim the Lysaght Maiden Plate (1315m) by a half-length on his home track.  “It’s still his first prep and he’s still gawking about,” Hardy said.  “With a bit of maturity, I reckon he will turn out okay.

“Steve (Traecey) jumped off and said he will be a different horse in 12 months.  That’s how much improvement is left in him.  He will have another run or two before a break.”

Nomoretenmore (3g Onemorenomore – Family Jewels by Secret Savings) failed to make a $20,000 reserve at the 2013 Magic Millions Ready To Run Sale but Hardy had some inside info on his ability.

“My daughter Joanne breezed him up for the vendor and, when he was passed-in, we came in with an offer that was accepted.  I brought Darren Wilson and Chris Kachel into the partnership – we’ve raced plenty of winners and quite a few losers over the years.

“Joanne and her partner David Birch operate Clare Park Thoroughbreds between Coffs and Grafton and we’ve got them to thank for tipping us into this horse.”

Vinery sire Onemorenomore has been on fire this season with Tonto, Onemorezeta, Explosive One and Kiwi filly Purcentage leading the charge.  His latest winner is from a half-sister to Sydney stakes winning fillies Madame Pedrille and M’Lady Pedrille.

Hardy has Elite Dubleo, a son of Vinery sire Dubleo, ready to come back into work after an initial preparation that yielded wins at Coffs and Grafton.  Trevor believes he has the ability to win in town this season.  His dam Elite Encore has just foaled a filly by Myboycharlie.

Onemorenomore (Red Ransom) stands at Vinery for a $13,200 (inc gst) service fee.
