Husson tops Patinack Farm Yearling Dispersal

Vinery sire Husson (Arg) topped Patinack Farm’s Dispersal of yearlings with filly from Group 1 mare Devil Moon on Monday.

Queensland agent Craig Rounsefell of Boomer Bloodstock purchased the filly for $260,000 at the Gold Coast.  “This filly was a real standout,” Rounsefell said.  “She is by a stallion who has done a great job with his opportunities and her dam was a very, very good mare.”

“She’s a great physical type and she has great residual value.  I was keen to buy her.  She’s going to grow into a lovely filly with good size and she will be retained to race.”

Magic Millions sold four yearlings that made $200,000 or more on Monday.

Sharing the second place on the leader-board were youngsters by Casino Prince and Husson who both sold for $205,000 to trainer David Pfieffer.

The Casino Prince colt is from the grand producer Ocean Bridge and is a brother to Group 1 racemare Longport.  The other $205,000 seller, a Husson filly, is from the Group 1 winner Serious Speed.

The first lot in the ring this afternoon – the Husson-Allez Wonder filly – was purchased by Vinery Stud for $200,000.
