Rivercrest Park Stud has announced its service fees for 2016 and breeders can inspect resident sire God Has Spoken at the Magic Millions Winter Sale in June.
Studmaster Steve Hoare will parade the Blackfriars Group 1 performer before the sale gets underway at Belmont Park on Sunday, June 26. “He covered a book of about 50 mares first-up last year and his fertility was spot-on,” Hoare said. “He’s a powerhouse standing almost 17 hands so we’re really looking forward to his first foals.”
Broodmares already confirmed to God Has Spoken include Cool Deal (Zedrich). She is an unraced half-sister to Shining Knight and the foal will be bred along the same lines as the G3 Belmont Sprint winner who is also by Blackfriars.
El Moxie mare Yodeller is another with a cover and her best foal to date has been Amelia’s Dancer. Raced by Peter Walsh and partners, he was a mile specialist in town and won over the same trip in the Coolgardie Cup. Yodeller is back in WA after foaling a Commands filly and Sebring colt.
Testa Rossa mare Bontessa received a pedigree update when her older half-brother Zarantz won the Albany Cup and LR Pinjarra Cup in March – April. Sunspeed breeder Dale Brooker has booked an early service to God Has Spoken – Bontessa has a Maschino colt on the ground but wasn’t bred back this season.
Rivercrest evergreen Kendel Star reached a career-high as a stallion when He Or She won the G2 Blamey Stakes at Flemington in March. “He’s an amazing old horse,” Hoare said. “He covered 13 mares last year and won’t lay down.”
Famous Roman hasn’t long started at stud and his first-crop three year-olds received another update with debut winner Noble Savage at Belmont last week. A Danehill-line horse through Danetime, he won the 2010 G2 Lee-Steere Stakes and did best of the locals when runner-up to Gathering in the G1 Railway Stakes.
