First winner by Walking or Dancing

Walking or Dancing posted the first success of his stud career when Cultural Man produced a highly promising performance in the Lindemans 2YO Maiden (900m) at Cessnock on Monday.

Cultural Man races in the distinctive black and yellow colours of Bert Vieira and he showed brilliant early speed to lead the field and then a thoroughly professional approach to score by almost two-lengths.

The circumstances surrounding the victory could not be more appropriate.  The strapping juvenile is prepared for Vieira Racing by Wyong trainer Brett Partelle.  It was Partelle who also fashioned Walking or Dancing’s very rewarding race career, the talented son of Falvelon ultimately winning 7 races and over $500,000 in prizemoney on behalf of the same connections.

Walking or Dancing retired to Wattle Brae Stud in Queensland in 2011 and relocated to Bowness Stud in NSW last year.

Cultural Man is from Military Queen (General Nediym) and his second (Heart Ruler) and third dam (Born To Be Queen) both won editions of the G1 AJC The Metropolitan.
