Falbrav pensioned by Shadai

Former Australian shuttler Falbrav has been pensioned by Shadai Stallion Station.

The 17 year-old son of Fairy King has been in poor health at Japan’s premier stud and served only four mares last year.  He has been based at Shadai since 2004 apart from a one-off northern season at Cheveley Park Stud in 2005.

Falbrav (Fairy King – Gift Of The Night by Slewpy) won a Milan 2YO event in September 2000 and was later sold to Teruya Yoshida and transferred to trainer Luca Cumani.  They travelled the world winning Group 1 events like the Japan Cup, Prix d’ Ispahan, Juddmonte International, Hong Kong Cup and Gran Premio di Milano.

Arrowfield Stud shuttled the Irish-bred stallion for three seasons until 2006 and his progeny included Group 2 winners Brava Fortune (WATC Karrakatta Plate) and Fravashi (QTC Sires’ Produce Stakes).

High-class earners A Shin Virgo, I’m Yours and One Carat head his Japanese offspring and he’s also the damsire of last year’s Japanese 1000 Guineas winner Harp.
