Bel tolls for All Too Hard

Mares in foal to All Too Hard or with foals at foot by the Vinery stallion dominated the leader-board during the opening session of the Patinack Farm dispersal on the Gold Coast.

Topping the list at the Magic Millions on Sunday was G1 Robert Sangster Stakes winner Bel Mer.  The 10 year-old Bel Esprit mare was purchased by industry newcomer Goldin Farms for $850,000.  She changed hands with a PPT from an October 26 cover last year.

“Bel Mer is all quality,” Goldin Farm’s manager Andrew Perryman said.  “She has great strength and size and everything going for her.”

Goldin Farms also bought G2 Challenge Stakes winner Olonana for $460,000.   The More Than Ready mare was sold with an All Too Hard colt foal at foot.

Other mares sold with All Too Hard foals at foot and bred back to the him were Happy Hippy, Allez Wonder, Rightly So and Marquardt.

The Patinack Farm dispersal confirmed All Too Hard is value plus at Vinery for a $66,000 (inc gst) service fee.  Mares in foal to him averaged $352,000 at the Magic Millions National Sale in June.
